The reason we are able to see these \u2018elite divers\u2019 so close to Morro Jable is that the seabed beneath us is fascinating. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"p-rc_2c824613eeab8d67-55\">Just a few kilometres off the coast, the continental shelf drops away into <strong>underwater canyons<\/strong> that plunge vertically into the abyss. These deep valleys are home to squid and other cephalopods, the favourite food of these giants. At <a href=\"https:\/\/magicandsailing.com\/en\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/magicandsailing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Magic &amp; Sailing<\/a>, we don\u2019t just take you to see them; we explain that you\u2019re sailing over one of the Atlantic\u2019s most significant submerged mountain ranges.
