The catamaran drops anchor in a bay so we can enjoy a swim in the beautiful waters of Fuerteventura; the engine is switched off and, after our first dip in the Atlantic, the other highlight of the day begins: lunch on deck with a nice cold drink in hand.<\/p>\n\n
Eating out on the open sea, with the Jand\u00eda coastline stretching out before you, is a whole different experience. And don\u2019t expect the usual snack-style fare you\u2019d get on a day trip: on board, the food is cooked and prepared with the same care and attention as you\u2019d find at a fine restaurant on land. <\/p>\n\n
We prepare it using produce from the island and the skilled hands of a talented chef from Jand\u00eda, and it\u2019s served after a swim, when you\u2019re feeling peckish after a day at sea. Each boat has its own menu, designed specifically for that day\u2019s trip. We\u2019ll tell you what\u2019s in store on each one. <\/p>\n\n
Here, the meal is served in courses. It begins with a refreshing gazpacho made with avocado, cucumber and apple, served with pickled onion, followed by a platter of cheeses from Fuerteventura and a salad of mozzarella and cherry tomatoes with pesto, before the main course arrives: tender roast beef with tzatziki sauce and potatoes. A multi-course meal, right in the middle of the sea. <\/p>\n\n
The menu starts with a Mediterranean couscous with roasted vegetables and fresh tzatziki, followed by roast veal loin with aromatic herbs, mushroom sauce and confit potatoes. Just the sort of main course you fancy after a good spell of sailing and swimming. <\/p>\n\n
The star of the show is the Mozarabic chicken with rice and vegetables, cooked on board. It is the ship\u2019s signature dish, the one that families and groups who return season after season keep coming back for. <\/p>\n\n
And if you don\u2019t eat meat, don\u2019t worry: on all our boats we serve a Mozarabic vegetarian burger with Zahara-style flavoured rice. Here, nobody\u2019s eyeing up the dish next to them. <\/p>\n\n
