And there are those who, on Christmas Eve, instead of being cooped up waiting for dinner, spend the morning on deck with the sun on their faces and their feet bare. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both are Christmas. It\u2019s just that the second one isn\u2019t forgotten. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A plan that breaks with the usual festive tradition<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Christmas has its usual routine: long meals, endless after-dinner chats and the same old conversations with the same in-laws. Heading out to sea breaks that routine in an instant. The whole family on a boat, with the Jand\u00eda Natural Park gliding past on one side, and no one watching the clock.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It works just as well whether you\u2019re travelling as a couple, a group of friends who happen to be on the island at the same time, or if you\u2019re spending your holidays here and looking for a day that stands out from the rest. And yes, you can sail in short sleeves: December here is nothing like it is back home. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An honest word of advice from someone who goes out every day: it\u2019s always a bit cooler out at sea than on land, so pop a light jacket in your rucksack. Each boat has its own menu, prepared by top chefs from Jand\u00eda, and drinks are on an all-you-can-drink basis throughout the trip. Toasting with a cold drink whilst anchored off the coast feels a bit like an early celebration. We\u2019ll tell you all about <a href=\"https:\/\/magicandsailing.com\/en\/blog-en\/whats-on-offer-to-eat-and-drink-on-our-excursions-in-fuerteventura\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">what\u2019s on offer to eat and drink on board.<\/a>   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">And then there\u2019s the crew<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is what we hear most often when people get off the boat, and it\u2019s even more noticeable at Christmas. Lots of people come from further afield \u2013 sometimes from far away from home \u2013 during the festive season, and what they find is a team that looks after them, explains what they\u2019re seeing and is genuinely delighted to have them on board. It\u2019s all <a href=\"https:\/\/magicandsailing.com\/en\/blog-en\/people-sea-and-craftsmanship-this-is-what-an-excursion-with-magic-sailing-is-like\/\">about the experience of a trip with us<\/a>, and it\u2019s hard to describe unless you\u2019ve been there yourself.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The two days we didn\u2019t go out<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To avoid any disappointment when planning your trip: we don\u2019t sail on 25 December or 1 January. These are the only two days when the crew stay at home with their families. For the rest of the festive season, including 24 and 31 December, we sail as normal.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Book in good time and we\u2019ll meet at the quay<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A handy tip: holiday dates fill up well in advance, so if you\u2019ve decided on a specific day, don\u2019t leave it until the last minute.
