With its majestic height and imposing fa\u00e7ade, the lighthouse of Morro Jable<\/strong> is located in one of the most privileged enclaves of Fuerteventura: with mountains of volcanic rock at its back, the golden sand of Playa del Matorral at its feet and the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean on the horizon.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Morro Jable lighthouse, also known as the Punta del Matorral lighthouse, is an imposing 60-metre tower that stands on the south coast of Fuerteventura. Built in 1991, this lighthouse plays a vital role in the maritime navigation of the area.<\/p>\n

Located in a protected natural area, among the dunes of Playa del Matorral, the Morro Jable<\/strong> lighthouse is also the closest to the harbour where Magic And Sailing boats<\/a> are moored. On numerous occasions, this lighthouse is also witness to one of the most special moments for clients who sail aboard one of our catamarans: the sighting of dolphins and whales at sea.<\/p>\n

With its simple lines, painted white and more than 60 metres high, at first glance it seems nothing special, but it is a construction that we sailors hold in high esteem: when we see it, we know that we are close to the coast, to land, to home.<\/p>\n

It also has an attraction that few lighthouses have: while you are on your way to it, you may be approached by one of the many squirrels that populate the island. Whether for its location, its simplicity or its charm, for Magic And Sailing the lighthouse of Morro Jable is essential, it is the light that guides us back home.<\/p>\n
