It’s one of the questions we hear most often at the pier: “Captain, does the boat rock a lot?” It’s only natural; nobody wants their holiday ruined by a bit of seasickness. The good news is that, off the coast of Jandía, the physics are on your side if you choose the right boat.
Unlike motorboats or traditional monohulls, which ‘roll’ (sway) with every wave, boats such as the Magic Select (at 23 metres) and the Magic Deluxe or the Magic Dreams act as stable platforms on the water. With two separate hulls, the catamaran minimises that annoying side-to-side rocking.
If you’re the type who likes to play it safe, the Magic Select is the place for you: its large size makes it extremely stable. And a little tip from our crew: sit in the middle, keep your eyes on the Fuerteventura horizon and let the breeze do the rest. You’ll find that, within ten minutes, you’ll have forgotten you’re out on the Atlantic.
