At Magic & Sailing we have long been convinced that enjoying the sea should not mean damaging it. That is why we have taken another step towards truly sustainable tourism by incorporating reusable polypropylene cups in all our excursions. This measure allows us to reduce the use of single-use plastics, which do so much damage to our oceans, and to continue offering unforgettable experiences in harmony with the natural environment of Fuerteventura.
Those of us who live and work on this island know that Fuerteventura is not only an incredible tourist destination, but also a fragile ecosystem that needs to be cared for. Every year we welcome thousands of visitors who come to marvel at our crystal clear waters and the marine wildlife that inhabits them. This is a privilege… and also a responsibility.
That’s why we have decided to completely replace disposable cups with an environmentally friendly alternative: reusable polypropylene. This durable and recyclable material allows us to continue to offer a quality service while significantly reducing waste generation on board. It’s a simple but effective way to contribute to change.
As the heiress and current owner of Magic & Sailing, I have always believed that small decisions, when taken together, can have a real impact. This action is not an isolated gesture, but part of a broader vision: to demonstrate that it is possible to do tourism in a conscious and respectful way, without renouncing the beauty and enjoyment of the sea. We want those who choose us not only to live a unique experience on board, but also to take away with them the satisfaction of having contributed to the care of the environment that makes that experience possible.
This measure is already present in all our outings, from our classic catamaran excursion in Fuerteventura to the different boat trips we offer from Morro Jable. Our aim is to continue incorporating improvements that bring us closer to a more responsible way of sailing, where sustainability is not a trend, but a way of acting coherently with the environment in which we live.
