You’ve decided you want a luxury catamaran day trip departing from Morro Jable, in Fuerteventura, and you’re torn between two options: the Magic Dreams and the Magic Deluxe. That’s a good sign, because there’s no wrong choice here. Both are premium, small-group trips and include the same all-you-can-drink cava. The difference lies in the sort of day you’re looking for.
How are they similar?
Before you make up your mind, don’t put too much pressure on yourself: they both have a lot in common. A four-hour cruise, setting off from Morro Jable harbour, a small group to avoid crowds, a swim in the Atlantic, an open bar serving ice-cold cava and a meal cooked by a top chef from Jandía. On both trips, we head out in search of dolphins and whales in the wild – sightings are never guaranteed, but they make their home in the south of the island. Whichever one you choose, you can’t go wrong.
Magic Dreams: more fun in the water
The Dreams is the newest catamaran in the fleet, a recently designed Lagoon 43. Your day on board will be more action-packed: whilst at anchor, as well as swimming, we’ll have snorkelling gear and paddleboards on board, so you can explore the volcanic seabed or paddle for a while alongside the boat.
The meal is served in courses that will treat your palate to a truly luxurious culinary experience in every sense. The starter features semi-matured cheeses from Fuerteventura (with paprika, in olive oil and smoked), followed by a delicious cherry tomato salad with mozzarella pearls and basil oil. For the main course, we serve an exquisite, tender roast beef fillet with potatoes confit in aromatic oil and a sherry gravy. If you’d like to enjoy a unique sailing experience and savour a delicious and varied lunch or dinner, this is the perfect plan for you.
Magic Deluxe: even more of a private yacht experience
The Deluxe is a Lagoon 450S with its own cabins and bathrooms. That’s the magic of it: stepping aboard a boat that feels like your own, where time slows down. The cabins – provided you let the crew know – are perfect for getting changed, leaving your things or resting for a moment in the shade.
And the meal is a full main course, with a hot main dish: Mediterranean couscous and roast beef fillet with mushroom sauce and potatoes. If you’re looking for a more leisurely, cosy experience on board, the Deluxe is the one for you.
So, which one will you choose?
It’s not a question of which is better, but of what you fancy on the day. If you want to get out on the water with a snorkel and a paddleboard and try out the brand-new catamaran, go for the Dreams. If you prefer a more relaxed pace, a full menu and a boat with cabins, the Deluxe is the one for you.
