If you are in the south these days, you will have noticed that the air in Morro Jable has a different rhythm. From 12 to 22 March 2026, our town is transformed to celebrate Carnival. These are days of glitter, laughter and an energy that is contagious. But those of us who live here know that the best ally of a good night’s party is a morning of absolute silence on the Atlantic.

For us, Carnival isn’t just experienced on the avenue; it’s also enjoyed from the sea, watching as the Morro Jable Lighthouse fades into the distance while we seek the tranquillity that only Jandía can offer.

The refuge before the big party

We know that events such as the Drag Queen Gala (20 March) and the Grand Carnival Parade (21 March) attract large crowds and the hustle and bustle can be exhausting. That’s why our proposal is the perfect counterpoint.

If you’re concerned about crowds, our small group excursions aboard the Magic Deluxe or the new Magic Dreams are your private hideaway. Imagine swapping the sound of batucada drums for the puffing of a pod of pilot whales or the playfulness of bottlenose dolphins at the bow for a few hours. It’s the luxury of having space to breathe before returning to the dance.

A chill-out evening in front of the village

There is a magical moment that occurs just before the festivities begin. Our schooner Aphrodite Sunset casts off for a three-hour cruise designed precisely for those looking to slow down.

As the sun sets behind the volcanic mountains, our team prepares a selection of chill-out music that perfectly complements the gentle rocking of the schooner’s handcrafted wood. It’s that moment of peace, with a glass of cava in your hand, watching the Carnival lights begin to shine on the coast in the distance. There’s no better way to recharge your batteries for the night ahead on land.

No last-minute hassles

We know that parking in town these days can be a challenge. If you decide to come on your own, the port of Morro Jable has 150 parking spaces that usually provide some relief from the traffic in the centre. And if you prefer to forget about the car altogether so you can focus on enjoying yourself, remember that our team will pick you up at selected points in Costa Calma or Esquinzo.

Sailing around Jandía in March is a real treat. The sea is usually calm, the temperature is perfect for swimming at our stops in unspoilt bays, and the marine wildlife seems to want to join in the fun too.

Choosing to visit us during these days means choosing to experience Carnival in a different way: with your face washed by the sea air and your heart filled with the sea. We’ll be waiting for you at the jetty to start the engines and hoist the sail.
